I can't login and it appears that the language was changed, what should I do?

I can't login and it appears that the language was changed

I was giving my daughter my MacBook and was deleting my stuff from it and it appeared to be fine and closed it for awhile and when she reopened it. It asked for her password and when she hit the keys it was in a different language and didn't recognize the password.

I can't get by that point... any ideas???

Hello! Unfortunately your only option may be to boot into recovery mode. I'm not sure if you'll be able to change the language back to English without restoring your MacBook.

Maybe somebody else will have an idea.

I am looking into a recovery now... My daughter goes back to college this afternoon and I have to get this fixed.. I will be standing outside the Apple store this morning begging them to help me, if this doesn't work..

That's definitely an option too. Have you gone online and scheduled an appointment with a genius? You might want to do that just to be safe.

I have one at 430pm... She has to be at the airport at 3pm...

Maybe show up at opening and see what they can do. Explain the situation. They're pretty reasonable.

I love them there... but won't be needing them... Recovery worked great and the problem with the Keyboard was the Option button was stuck... I have a perfectly working MacBook now...... Thanks for your help!!!!!
