Is 256gb enough space for FCPX? I'm just getting started with iMovie on the 12.9" iPad Pro. If it works out good enough I'm getting FCPX. What I'm wondering is if 256gb is enough space for FCPX? I have 512gb on a late 2013 15" rMBP with d/gpu. I have windows 10 bootcamped on it. If it's not enough space I might have to take the windows off and make it 512gb altogether. Any ideas and advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Also the iMovie and FCPX is not job related, it's kinda right now just a hobby thing.

Really it depends on you and the projects you're going to do. I do some video editing but keep all my files on an external drive. Projects and finished renders can take up a lot of space. Considering an external drive for storage will be a good bet. This will ease your mind and save you any hassles down the road.

This depends on a lot of factors. The first being the resolution of the video and the average length of videos. I think you should be able to get away with 256gb produced you are not doing 4K videos that are 1 hour+ long haha. If things do go south, you can always pick up a 1TB external and use that for your files. :)
