Cydia sources will not update

Seeing as I got no reply to my thread

I have updated to iOS 712 doing a full restore and jailbroken again. Cydia will still not update sources. So I now have a jailbroken phone but cannot get any tweaks installed.

How do I get this working?

If I remember correctly you need to go into cydia and install substrate.

Ok I did that but Bigboss and Modmyi are still saying cache error host unreachable. Cydia used to pop up the first time and prompt to do an Upgrade complete to install the core files but it did not this time. How do I do this? Am I maybe missing something more than substrate?

Modmyi is loading now but still getting errors on Bigboss. I've tried deleting and readding it but no luck. It works fine on my iPad so I'm not sure why it's not working on my iPhone. Any ideas?
