Can I trust this downgrade?

I have a quick question. I wanna downgrade my baseband to unlock my iPhone 3G 16GB. Can I trust this:
Downgrade iPhone 3.1.3 Baseband 05.12.01 | Redmond Pie
?

Only way to find out is to try it yourself and report back. If it doesn't work, just restore and jb again. You won't lose anything that way. Looking at all the comments, looks like it worked for one person so who knows.
