now that i have "jailbroken" my i phone 3g 16gb it does not have any phone service or 3g service. also all of my previously downloaded apps are gone. please help me

You might need to restore and rejailbreak.

This will not recover your apps though. You will need to redownload them from Cydia and resync the ones from your iTunes.
