failing third party apps

hi!

I've got a problem with mit 2.2. jailbroken 3G: all my applications from Installer or Cydia just won't start anymore. when I try to open them they only show for a second or two and then the phone switches back to the home screen. restarting the phone doesn't help...has anybody got an idea how to solve this problem?

p.s. I did'nt upgrade to firmware 2.2.1....already checked that out

Try resetting the phone. If that doesn't work, then a restore might be in order.

resetting didn't help....when I restore the phone, the software automatically upgrades to 2.2.1, doesn't it?...which had the effect that my jailbreak would be useless....any other thoughts on this?

2.2.1 can be jailbroken. If you are looking to preserve the baseband, you can install a custom firmware.
