Camera app freezes periodically

I have the Xs Max and I noticed this strange behavior on my camera app. Occasionally, when I tried to take photo, the shutter button does not respond. The app seems to be frozen for some unknown reason. I have to wait for a few seconds, click away to Video or Portrait, then click back to Photo for it to work. It happens only when I am shooting landscape mode. When I hold the phone in portrait mode, I do not have such problem.

Has anyone experienced such strange behavior with your camera app?

I think the fact that no one else has commented yet, is a clear indicator that the rest of us have not seen this issue. My first thought would be to restart the phone and see if that helps with the issue. And, if you are still having problems, to take it to an Apple Store (if you live close to one) or contact Apple Support.

I haven't seen my camera freeze yet. Just took a bunch of pics with it when I went on a mini-trip.
