In app purchase lost after app deletion?

I downloaded an app called paint sparkles for my niece and paid $3.99 to unlock all the features. I recently noticed the app was accidentally deleted. When I downloaded the app again the in app purchase had to be paid for again. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

It shouldn't be. There should be a "recover purchases" option or something like that. If not, contact the developer.

No just hit purchase again and it will realize you already paid and re down load it again for free
