Amidst alarming increases in paranormal activity, the Paranormal Investigation Agency (PIA) issues an iPhone-fitted prototype of their Anomaly Detection Unit, urging citizens across the world to join the effort to decipher the mystery. With devices engaged, volunteer agents scour the globe, amassing anomaly data through towns, states, and countries. As the PIA receives valuable uploads, regions upgrade to heightened modes of investigation from casual vicinity scanning to coordinated team search missions, culminating in a collaborative global race to network with other agents and locate--as a team--a key anomaly from each country on Earth. As the race toward discovery ends, a new race in the Unearthed Saga begins....
Unearthed is an iPhone AR experience that uses camera, compass, and GPS to locate and photograph anomalous creatures. Set in a 3 episode saga, it combines proven game elements such as achievements, upgrades, leaderboard ranking, and storytelling with emerging concepts to create a fresh social interactive experience. It immerses players in a field of global scale, encourages players to navigate their environment to pursue targets, and compels the creation of massive team networks to fulfill the toughest challenges.
