- Just got disconnected from Yahoo
Been testing it the last few days - Logged in with account A, exited the app on the iPhone (was logged in as idle). Check 2 days later by logging in from account B on my computer and shows account A offline - didn't keep me logged in for 2 weeks, only about 2 days - not as stable as suspected
Gonna test again though and see...07-31-2009 05:51 AMLike 0 - Just got disconnected from Yahoo

Keep in mind that if you reset your iPhone or power off your iPhone, you will be disconnected.07-31-2009 12:46 PMLike 0 - Could you really get disconnected if you turn your phone off? I do that like once every 2 or 3 days. Will have to test that...08-01-2009 05:25 AMLike 0
- I really liked BBM when i had a blackberry. I thought it was a good idea. It would be pretty neat for iPhone to do that but i dont think AT&T would ever approve of that.08-02-2009 03:11 PMLike 0

- Ok. found another app - it's actually brand new on the App Store. It's called Messi.im - iTunes link
They say it's free for the first two weeks so grab it whilst you can!
Also a free messaging app between iPhones with no "keep me logged in" time...
I haven't tried it yet but if anyone has can you please let us know what you think of it?
Thanx08-03-2009 12:48 PMLike 0 - Ok, was testing on 2 different iPhones and both were disconnected this morning for some or other reason - assuming Yahoo flushes or resets their server every few days?08-04-2009 03:52 AMLike 0
- I really don't know what to tell you at this point. I have never once been kicked off Yahoo Messenger on the iPhone without intentionally signing off or logging on to another device. I have no way to speculate as to why you're having problems.08-04-2009 11:30 AMLike 0

- True that, but with BeeJive you have to log in at least once a day (only keeps you online for 24hrs). Need something that keeps you logged in longer (like Yahoo) or indefinitely...08-05-2009 02:55 AMLike 0

Maybe you've just got bad karma because you've spent the last 5 pages of this thread trying to find a replacement for Yahoo IM.08-05-2009 11:37 AMLike 0 - Yeah, same here. When I sign in to Yahoo on my computer, I get a push notification on my iPhone telling me that I've been signed out because I logged onto my computer.

Anyways, I found another app that could replace all my iPhone to iPhone messaging attempts - it's called MoyoTalk. They are busy working on their new release which will have push and they are hopefully releasing a BB version soon too. Will then have free iPhone to iPhone (and iPhone to BB) messaging with now "sign out" worries - can't wait!!!!!08-05-2009 11:53 AMLike 0 -
