How are you attempting to listen to the music - via the built-in speaker, Bluetooth, wired headphones?

I use wired headphones, through 3.5mm.

If the music plays on the built-in speaker then either the headphones are malfunctioning or the earphone port is dirty or is malfunctioning. I’m assuming the headphones are properly seated in the port. Have you tried bowing out the earphone port?

It may be time to make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to have them diagnose the problem.

Have you tried a different set of headphones, or a BT speaker ?

I’ve had problems in the old days with the 3.5 mm plugs in the past. (Walkman era). I’d try another set headphones first.
