How can I open my frozen iPhone 6?

iPhone 6 frozen I can't slide it open

Hello. I just did an update on my phone this morning. Something which I was holding off on doing for many months. I'm not even sure which update it was. My phone worked this morning. Now I can't slide it open. When it does open I can't click on anything or answer a call. I pressed the home button and the button on the side for several seconds and the phone rebooted (I've done this 10 times) and I'm still having the same problem. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Connect the device to your computer, initiate the computer's iTunes app, and then select to restore it. Make sure you have a recent backup before following those instructions.
