iPhone 6s Extremely hot home button
On my iPhone 6s, went to bed last night with my battery at about 75% and when I woke up in the morning to check the time, the screen was dead and the phone wouldn't respond to anything. I noticed quickly that the home button was extremely hot. I did a reset on the phone (held down home and power for 10 seconds) and the phone came back (battery had dropped to 0%).
I saw this has happened to others. I'm curious if this is something where I should just get the phone replaced, or soldier on. I'm not sure if it's a device defect that would be cured with a new device, or if this is just something that happens to plague the 6s (and maybe the 6 as well).
