iPhone 5 on Tmobile

Anyone heard anything about this? I called tmobile and they said I could only get 2G speed with them right now. Is that true? Anyone heard any news about iphone coming to tmobile's network?

That is true for now. The last I heard was maybe next year for the iPhone on there network with LTE.

the guy did mention the year 2013, but not a month, so i guess i'll just wait and see. other than that, would the iphone work on tmo if it was unlocked from ATT?

They will soon or may already have micro sims to support people who have iPhones with unlocked sim slots... speeds will vary based on locations and what RF bands T-Mobile is using in particular markets.

Actually, T-Mobile has many large markets where they re-farmed 2G spectrum for 1900 Mhz use. What this means is, You can take an unlocked iPhone, put a T-Mobile micro or nano SIM in it, and get HSPA+ 4G speeds. T-Mobile has a map of this somewhere (Google it). T-Mobile will even sell you a nano SIM to put in your iPhone 5 if you open an account (provided you live in a 1900 Mhz area).
