I ordered on Verizon, got to the end and got a screen saying that my order was pending while they checked my credit card info. I never got a confirmation email. Should I wait or try to order the phone?

Success, well partial success, ordered wife's 64GB in Black from the Apple Store, but can't order one for me since the shipping address does not match the billing address, guess I'll wait until a couple weeks after launch day.
Verizon site said the same thing. I submitted it anyway and it went through even tho my credit card billing address was different. Hopefully they do not cancel my order.

Preorder my iPhone 5 64 GB Black via Apple Store App here in Canada. No option to pick a Nano SIM card, guess I need to hunt one down at Fido?
I believe it comes with it, on my email confirmation it said it under additional items

I ordered one for myself and my wife on Verizon...

I was a bit confused because we had unlimited data but it never allowed me to switch to the share plan. It just offered a la carte data options with our existing minutes. So it recognized that unlimited was no longer an option going forward but it didn't allow me to change the plan as a whole.

I guess I'll be going into Verizon/calling them to see what's going on. Anyone that can explain?

do they preload it with your nano sim/number? and all you have to do is turn on the phone and activate that sim card? so the one i have now dies after nano sim activation?
My recollection is you activate it with iTunes. But yes, once activated, your old phone's no longer useable as a phone. I still use my 3G for a backup MP3 player...

got through on app. retail on vzw unlimited data.
says $30 activation fee which i dont believe and will fight if i get charged.
verizons site tried to make me change data plans, but only on iphone5, not any other full retail phone...but when u preorder through vzw it is a separate site than the main phone ordering site so i think its just a glitch

    night all!

So I don't see any Bell pre-orders. Rogers is down for maintenance. Sprint is dead. AT&T is fine. Verizon is fine. Anyone else?
AT&T appears to be fine until you go through the process and it tells you either an "error" has occurred or that they're "down for maintenance"

They'll have the store on Apple.com available as soon as possible. They certainly aren't making money by having it still in maintenance mode.

Took me about 10 minutes to upgrade my two lines with iPhone 5's once I settled on doing the Apple Store App. When you enter your Apple ID password - if you get a time out do *not* hit retry. Hit CANCEL and then hit "Check Out" again.

I wonder why Safari and Firefox can't log onto the Apple Store, but Chrome can. That's very odd. I'm just glad I'm done. I did have a weird hiccup where, halfway through the process, I got booted out of the store with an "Oops" page, but my order was saved and I just clicked back in to continue. And the confirmation email came quickly (though I'd prefer if it said it was a confirmation email rather than a "processing" email, but, whatever)
