I wanted the SS but never having an Apple Watch, I decide to go aluminum first. If it becomes more than just a "novelty" item for me, I will upgrade.

Anyone receive shipping info yet? I preorder and it is Preparing to ship but not shipped yet. My iPhone tracking number came in this morning so hoping that I get something soon for the watch.

I preordered 3:06AM EST when preorders went live. My order still says expected delivery the 16th, but have yet to receive a shipping notification. Hopefully I'll see it hit my email tomorrow for Friday delivery.

Apple is delivering earlier than expected. When I ordered on 9/9, delivery date was Sep 26 - Sep 28. Now it is being delivered middle of next week. Got tracking number - just waiting for package to be handed off to UPS and start its journey from China.

This is what happened to me when the first Watch launched 18 months ago. I missed the launch date by seconds (in seconds!) and got an ETA of about two months away. A week or so later (don't really remember) I got an email with a much closer ETA.

For many years now, Apple has tried to under promise and over deliver, because in earlier days it was the other way around. Congratulations on your new ETA!

I should have order my watch right after ordering my phone. Regardless, I literally just ordered mine. Expected delivery 18th - 31st Oct. Yeah, virtually weeping here...

Delivery date 18th - 31st October.

Woke up this morning, received an email with tracking info from Apple. Delivery 22nd September!

PS: I have a Series 1, brand new in the box. I bought it from Best Buy on Saturday, and still haven't opened it. I did so, hoping my S2 would be delivered early. Time to return it

On my way to the AppleStore see if they have the Apple Watch Sports series 2 in silver on stock.
According to the AppleStore app they don't but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not.
It's only 2 miles from my house so there is no shame in checking it out myself .
