Believe it or not, this could be a deal breaker for me. Right now i'm just trying to think how this affects my usage.

One car, i use BT. No problem.

Wife's car, a cassette with aux cable. Could be a problem. I was using a tomtom mount in that car that would have to be replaced anyways. Have to wait for a proclip iphone 5 mount. No BT though.

Wife's classroom to plug in iphone to tv? A problem.

I wouldn't think we'd have an issue over this. It's a bit surprising.

Perhaps but its a school with some strict rules. Plus my wife would consider that too much of a headache.

How? You would have something to plug into the tv anyway. By going the appleTV route she can at least have the phone in her possession, instead of tethered to the tv and risk it falling and/or breaking.

According to Apple, the adapter won't support video-out, or even iPod-out, so no TV or stereo docks, either. Not enough pins for the data.

Good news, everyone! The Verge has an article that says USB audio will work. Also, there should be HDMI and VGA adapters in a few months. (iMore now has it, too.) The bad news is "months".
