SMS group setup

Is there a way to set up a group for text messages? I send out a bible verse every day, and it sure would make it easier. I have a group set up in my Gmail account, and it worked on Android with no problem, but I guess groups will not transfer to the iPhone. I am on IOS5.

If you tap the little compose button on the top right corner of the Messages app, it lets you pick who you want to text and you can add as many people to that list as you want.

To make lists for group you would need 3rd party app. I use group text! which works great when I send out mass SMS.
