OTA updates rumor... coming with iOS5...

iOS 5 updates expected to be carried over-the-air, at least for the Verizon iPhone -- Engadget

would start after iOS5, so with 5.X.... combine OTA update with cloud backup, and we could possibly finally sever the NEED to plug into itunes...

i'm sure there are many new iOS owners (especially ipads), that might not even have a computer... so forcing the need to plug in to itunes via USB is rather inconvenient for those people... and even those of us that have computers... it's a pita to have to plug into itunes all the time... can't for this to actually become reality!
