Q. Does Personal Hotspot stop Tethering

I currently have a 3Gs and tether my laptop so that I can use my iphone data plan for surfing when I am out of the office. I note that personal hotspot only works with iphone4, but if I upgrade, when it is released, will it stop my ability to tether my laptop?

Im not 100% sure as to what your asking, but Personal Hotspot IS a tether feature. Its the built in program that allows you to tether any device via WiFi. If your asking if it will stop your ability to tether via bluetooth or USB, the answer is no because you can (or at least you can in the version I am using) choose which way you want to tether, Bluetooth/USB/WiFi. Yep, you can still tether via usb, bluetooth or wifi with Personal Hotspot feature.
