Alerts while docked?

I have a small Ihome alarm clock. When I dock the Iphone I seem to loose all alerts. In regular mode I will hear the phone ring, but do not get mail or text mesage alerts. Is there a way to hear them while docked?

OK, just tested again, seems when in the doc it works correctly, but it the Ihome it does not.

You should hear notifications through the speakers on the iHome. Do you actually not get them or do not hear the sounds?

Also, what do you mean "regular mode"? Not in the dock?

Sorry, Regular=non mute (side switch). OK I never tried turning the audio of the Ihome on. I expected it to just play thru the phone if the audio was off.

There you go, if it's muted you won't get sounds. If you put it in not muted do you get all your notification sounds?

Nope. I have to turn on the iPod power on the ihome to hear the sounds. Everything is routed thru the dock connector while in the Ihome.

I have my iphone dock with the Monster TRON dock, when I dock it the sounds come thought the speakers, but the sound(ringtones and alarm)distorted. Anyone know how to fix that? I don't want to use an app dock, just the built in alarm clock.

I dock mine in a Sony clock radio at work and I don't get my notifications when listening to Pandora or iHeart.
