battery life and push email

How fast should my battery drain when I am using push email on my phone. It seems that when I am not using it much, it drains at about 6% an hour, but then when I am using it more, it drains faster. What should I be expecting in order to tell if the battery on this phone is not defective?

I entirely depends on how many e-mails you get. I've had mine on standby for 1 hour, 12 minutes with f minutes of Wi-Fi use and I have 98% remaining. I got 3 e-mails in that time.

i have four email counts on fetch (i get about ten emails an hour during the work week) and with a lot of texting i get about 5-6% of battery life an hour
