Password: Numbers or Characters

If you've installed the latest iOS for iPhone\iPad, you'll notice that there is now an option to use 'simple' password or not.

Simple: you'd use a pin code
Non-simple: you'd use characters.

Which one do you prefer?

The only people that could ever use my devices have their own. I would never let anyone just pick them up so I don't have a need for the security. I also don't keep anything on them that would be a problem if they were stolen.

PIN. I have MobileMe with the FindMyPhone, etc., and the self destruct after 10 incorrect PIN tries option enabled. That's good enough for me at this time. No one trusts me with national security secrets anyway.

I just use the simple passcode, although i did use the alpha-numeric for a while, but it was too much of a pain to enter every 5 mins I wanted in my iPhone lol

I use PIN but I only use it when I travel. Other then that I use no security since I am the only one that touches my iPhone.

I'm the only one that touches mine, but with all the numbers I have I can't risk being stolen from my phone out of respect to them

Protect that phone!

Hahaha- I was a non-user till I noted my son using a pin on his Android. I implemented a pin on my iPhone, and he called me a day later, having left his in a cab in NYC! Recovered the Android, no data breach. So I am happy to use a pin on mine, though no really sensitive data is stored, the hassle and worry is mitigated.
