Don't credit me w/ this, saw it on MacRumors. I have a pre-order in for my iPhone 4, I am one of those who actually got my tracking # already. This is for those in the "prepared for shipment" or "delivers 6/24" etc....hope it helps, credit the poster on MacRumors. here's his tips below, it works....
"This is for customers that have yet to recieve an email about your tracking number. FedEx updates regularly but sometimes Apple doesn't, and vice versa. So if your iPhone says shipped, or prepared to ship, try this.

Put in your ship date, most likely the 19th or 20th, you may have to play with the dates some.

In the field where it says reference, type in your iphone phone number, with area code, no dashes IE 2223335555
