3GS - cannot get mail, server connection failed

Never had this problem before. I can't get mail today.. I use GMail and it's working because I can go on safari and check my mail.

I use the microsoft exchange method of recieving push GMail. I restored the phone, no luck. I even deleted that mail account and tried to reenter it- still doesn't work.

Any help?

same problem. After I deleted the account and tried adding it back I lost all my calendar notes and contacts. I now have to sync my contacts thru itunes. Hope they get this fixed...

Gmail has been bad for me the last couple of days. Not syncing read/unread status very quickly, feels like I'm using a Blackberry haha..

Same glitch trouble on my regular mail account; I fixed it by simply deleting my email adress, my name, and password, then re-typing them in. My name, was my first name, then a space, then the first letter of my last name, all lower case. I did NOT delete the account and set the whole thing back up. try reinstalling email/name/password next time
