Iphone 2g Wi-Fi Problem

Hello ppl,

I have this iphone 2g and the wireless doesn't work, I have the firmaware 3.0 and I was told by the ppl who sold it to me that this issue was only a matter of "software" I tried downgrading and the result is the same:
-The on/off button is available I can "turn on" the wi-fi but no nextwork is detected, even though I set the network myself it won't find any all.

Do you think is a physical problem rather than settings?

It doesnt find/detect any network at all, even though I try to use either a free one or my own at home.

I have seen alot of 2G Iphone for sale and the biggest complaint is the WIFI is dead , I think you may have a WIFI hardware issue .

I was hoping it was't a hardware issue, I think then the only thing left to do is confirme whether it is or not.
