Multiple questions with regards to the iPhone

Hey guys,
Had quite a few questions with regards to the iPhone:
1. I have setup my iPhone to download mail from my work exchange server. I have set it to retrieve the last 50 messages. I see that I get the new email and then it disappears whether I have read it or not. If i send a new email to my work account and check after 3 mins I see the email, if I send another email and I check after 10 mins there is none.
2. I wanna run my GPS app and pandora in the background? How do i do that? If I jail break my iPhone will I be able to do that?

To answer #2, the only way to run Pandora in the background is to jailbreak.

Once you jailbreak you need to download a program called backgrounder.

I realized what is happening with my mail problem. It seems that my iPhone first sees the email on my Exchange Server and then the mail gets downloaded to my PST file. After that I can't find it on my iPHone. Is there a way to sync my iPhone with my pst file or have the iPhone retain a copy of the email messages.

Why are you downloading from exchange to a PST? Use an OST. It's the default anyways and keeps the email on the server

to sync with a pst you connect the phone to that computer and update offline
