I see texting, but nothing about email. IF they leave this out, its dead on arrival.

*EDIT*. IMAP or POP3 only. So close Apple, but unusable in the coporate world. It is push IMAP though.

Ed Colligan "gee they won't get it right". Tremble in fear, Palm. THIS is what innovation looks like.

This is not innovation, edge only and IMAP or POP3 only. It is close, but unless there is an update prior to actual release it will not replace the smartphone for those who use the entire package. It will appeal to a large segment, but not the all in one wonder we expected.

It's just the "jihad" talking. Jobs can take a poop on stage and sculpt it into something purty(sic) and you would see the same reaction.

one of the slides does mention Exchange Sync, probably not push though. It also uses the full safari browser. This thing looks really nice. Dont like on screen keyboards though.

They give you a free yahoo push imap account for free also.

From Engadget's live feed...

"We have Safari running on iPhone -- it's the first fully-usable browser on a cellphone. We have Google Maps." Big applause.

Well, err, sorry to piss on your fireworks, but we've had PIE for quite a while now.

When is this guy gonna realize that he's never been FIRST at anything!

Sure, the UI is pretty cool but the rest of it is just a re-boxed treo! What a pile of cack.

No it doesn't not without GPS.

What use is google maps if you step outside the Wi-Fi zone and can't download any more maps?
