Why does my iPad only show pictures in black and white?

Why does my I pad only shows picture in black and white?

If possible how do I change it back ....I was playing a game ...paused the game and then left for a few minutes ...came back and it was in black and white .....is my pad broken?..

Go to Settings→ General→ Accessibility, and then disable the toggle next to "Grayscale".
