Apple iPad 3 stuck in upgrade

While updating my iPad yesterday, it froze! I have tried a hard reset but when it boots back up it shows the charger cord and that's all - it won't do anything else! please help

Have you tried plugging it into the computer and accessing via iTunes?

Hopefully you have a laptop with iTunes because that is what it'll need to do if you're getting the charging cord; there is no other way from my knowledge. =(
