Need to get my iPad music into my computer

I have 200+ songs on my iPad. And I just got an iPhone 4. I want the music on my iPad on my iPhone. I do not have the original music on the laptop I am using. I assumed that the iTunes was syncing both ways. But when I go to sync my iPhone. It cannot find any of the songs. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I am not opposed to putting the iPad songs on my computer and keeping them there also if I have to. But I don't know how to do that either.

Any help would be great!

Ive heard a program called Tune Plus 3.0 which can be bought at Best Buy or something like that would work. I have not tried it myself. Its $20. Maybe somebody else can post a easier and free way to do it. good luck!

I doubt there's any free ways there might be cheaper options online. I think if you value the feature and you'll be able to use it in the future why not pay?

I used an app called Senuti to move the music/videos from my iPhone to my Mac. I think it was $20, but well worth it.
