How can I get my own phone number and email hooked up to my iPad Air and not my husbands?

Novice to Apple products. Help

We have 2 iPhones and 1 iPad. I bought my husband a iPad air and when he followed the steps to set it up it now using my phone number and emails!!! How do I fix this? I want his phone number and email on his iPad not mine!

I need step by step instructions.

Thanks for any help.

You need different Apple ID's. You can share iTunes ID for apps and music, but iCloud, iMessage, and FaceTime need to be different. And welcome to iMore.

Get your husband his own AppleID for email, Messages, FaceTIme... and set up FamilyShare for apps, music, and other iTunesStore purchases made under the original, shared AppleID.

You need to sign out of iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime. Then enter your own email address and password. ITunes can stay like it is. Or the other way around.

My Wife and I don't use Family Share. We just use the same iTunes ID. All else is different. If we had kids, then we would use Family Share.
