You do realize this is the first beta of what’s to come, right?

And the fact they are using a 5 year old device. It isn't going to magically make it run as fast as newer devices. Give it time, apple made a big deal about performance on older devices so I am sure that will come as the betas do.

My AT&T WiFi Calling indicator at the left top of screen is erratic. WiFi calling still seems to work regardless of whether the WiFi is there or not.

Also—there is a new developer Watch OS our today, but so far no new iOS 12 beta. Usually they appear together. Also: Will the new Automatic Update feature apply to beta releases?

The beta 1 is fast and working well on my 8+, with only the one glitch for me: the NESNGO app not able to sign in. Not bad for an early beta.

Well, I'm thinking that a new watch beta has more to do with the fact that they had to pull the first one because it was problematic. For the last few days before this update, anybody who signed up for the watch beta couldn't get it.

I’m sure you’re correct. I had forgotten about that.

Of course, the only thing that’s important was that /I/ had gotten the watch OS beta the first day, when it was still available. (Just trying to adapt to the new thinking in the age of Trump.)

If anything, it may have been problematic in regard to its installation because the OS itself is quite solid - at least has been on my Series 3 cellular model.

Same here. Both the iOS and Watch OS betas have been solid on my iPhone 8+ and Series 3.

I have same issue. I found that toggling WiFi on and off causes GPS to get a lock about a minute after. That worked for me try and see if it will work for you

I tried toggling WiFi on/off and it didn't help in my case. Google Maps and Apple Maps were not able to lock even after 15 mins of my drive. Guess the next update will address it hopefully.

I had this problem. Found out the solution.

Do an encrypted backup in iTunes.
Download restore image from apple developer site
Restore iPhone using DFU mode.

After I did this, my GPS locked on with zero issues.

Hope this helps!

Re: iOS 12 Beta 1 for developers now available

You just press on the stack and it expands I believe it unlocks I use face ID so I don't know how Touch ID would work

On my 7plus I just tap screen to expand the group.

Can someone explain how the stacked notifications work. Are you able to view or sort through them without unlocking the phone or does it just show the most recent notification and tapping on it takes you into the app?

On my 7plus I just tap the group and it expands. You can delete whole group or delete individually.

Anyone have trouble with Netflix using iOS 12? For some reason this afternoon the app wouldn’t launch on my X or iPad Pro. I reinstalled the app on my phone and it says my user and password are wrong even though it isn’t. I’ve changed all of our devices to 12 so I can’t see if it’s an iOS issue or just something on Netflix’s end. It was working fine until today and I have been running iOS 12 for a week now.

I just get a spinning loading screen on my X. Loads fine on my 6s - iOS 11.4
