iPad 2 Jailbreaking

Okay, so I'm debating whether or not to jailbreak my iPad 2, and I want to know the real facts... Not technical blargon. Just simple. Like, how would I do it, what are the risks etc..

First we need to know what version of iOS your iPad is running, what type of computer you have and if you bought your iPad new or second hand.

It's running 7.whatever the latest version is. It was brand new. I have four different computers I can use, two of them are laptops, what do you mean what type?

iOS 7 not jailbreakable, so there is nothing you can do at this time.

The instructions differ between Mac and PC, that's why I asked.

Ah, of course it's not. Thanks anyway, what are the usual waiting periods between the release of a new numbered update and jailbreaking?

6.x didn't have a public jailbreak until after the Super Bowl. It really depends on how much free time developers have to work on it outside of their typical obligations.

Sorry, I'm English, I don't measure time periods by American sports events.. :/ When was SuperBowl? I also cannot remember when 6 came out.

Ahhhh, that sucks.. And there is no way to downgrade without jailbreaking, am I correct?
