I think the problem is that most of the people who are asking about the gestures are using a first gen iPad and don't know that this is only for iPad 2.

^^ that's because apple gave the impression in there ios 5 page before it released that multitouch gestures will work for all ipads...not just ipad 2...2 days after they released ios5 they updated their ios 5 page saying multigestures for ipad 2 only...thanks for that apple!!
