How to keep Mywi from killing my battery after I stop it?

Iphone 3gS tethered jailbreak using Blackra1n. Installed Mywi (no rock) through Cydia. Works great, however it kills the phone battery even when you stop the application. I turn off wifi tethering in Mywi when I am done. I turn off wifi in the phone settings. Check my Ipad wifi and Mywi is no longer showing up as an access point. A couple hours later, the phone is stone dead requiring a new jailbreak to restart it. What am I doing wrong?

you can force quit the mywi app. while the app is open hold the power button untill it says slide to power off, then hold the home button a while untill u are back at the homescreen. that should guarantee you actually shut down the app.

Doing that shut down my phone necessitating another jailbreak and a computer. This is what I am trying to avoid.

Why do you have to jailbreak to restart your phone?

I dont have these issues

He has a tethered jailbreak. All the newer devices currently have that.

Tethered jailbreak. If I shut off my phone or it dies, I need a computer to restart it using Blackra1n.

Try doing a respring and see if that shuts it down. I don't think you'll have to rerun jailbreak either.
