Iphone 3g 3.1 firmware downgrade question

Hi,
Just a quick question...
I have updated my iphone to 3.1 with baseband (modem firmware 05.11.07).
Correct me if the terminology is not correct.
I know a jailbreak is not yet available for 3.1 (windows).
Can I revert the firmware back to 3.0.1 and jailbreak then?
I have all the default firmwares saved..and I understand that the baseband will not go back, but will that stop me using a previous firmware and jailbreak?
I am not interested about unlocking just jailbreak.

not unlock, not mac, not 3gs. just jailbreak 3.1 windows on 3g

I am in the same boat as you and after exhaustive searching i cant find and answer that doesn't have the word unlock or mac in the title if you get any info please let me know.
and for revert the firmware back to 3.0.1 and jailbreak then,
yes i did it yesterday, it doesn't change the band however.. but if that's OK here are the links to do just that.. it took me about 3 tries before i figured it out. it worked but "the back up you do before is in 3.1 and cant be restored to the downgrade you preform to 3.0.1, so keep that in mind..

The same thing happened to me, the links don't work!!! please help
