can you reduce 'other capacity' to zero (or is it always going to be there)?

just curious if it's possible to reduce the other capacity to zero (even after doing a restore as new).

No there is always going to be something stored there.

It's always gonna be there... you can minimize it by deleting all content and settings, then restore a back-up made just prior to deleting/resetting...

Last time I did that, my "other" storage shrank maybe 200kB. Which brought it down to 1.4GB.

how did you do that? restore as new? now after upgrade to 8.1.1, my other went from 1.69 to about 1.25 GB.

I did a restore. And the space savings was about the same as yours.
