Homepod not showing up in Home App

Setup my Homepod with iPhone 5S running iOS 11.3.1. Initially the Homepod showed up in the Home App. Came home to Canada and turned on the Homepod and although it works ok, does not show up in Home App, but shows up in the Control Panel on iPhone. Isn't it supposed to show up in Home App?

It should show up in the home app - at least it does on my device. I can’t understand why it wouldn’t show up for you in the Home app simply because you’re now in Canada.
