Pics not syncing anymore

So I'm back from a trip. Took some seriously awesome pics with my 6 Plus. Normally as soon as I get my phone and iPad on wifi, the pics on my phone wind up on my iPad as well, but not this time.
All the settings are the same as before on both devices. Everything enabled to facilitate continuity.
But my iPad says everything is updated, yet it's missing all the pics I took with my phone.

What's going on? *grumble*

Connect to power - Open the Photos app on the phone... then set it down for a while... if you have a fairly large number of pictures, it may take some time depending on server load and traffic on Apple's end.
