How can I stop my calendar app from crashing on iOS 8?

Calendar app crashing on ios 8 Solution

Device: iPhone 6 ios 8.4 jailbroken
So today my calendar, for no apparent reason, decided to stop working. And by that i mean I would tap on the icon, a white screen would appear, and close immediately after that. I tried multiple possible solutions online, including soft reset, disabling icloud calendar sync and deleting all files on iphone, and even tries syncing with itunes to no avail. I even went digging in the directory of the calendar app.
BUT.
The way I got it to work was, I created a new event using the icloud calendar online. Then, through the notification center I clicked on the new event and the app launched like it usually does. After that, the app works properly

Hey! Thanks a lot for the info! Had exactly the same problem on my jailbroken iPhone 4S with iOS 8.4 and your fix worked. However, when I show the daily or monthly view on the calendar it works ok, but when I try to zoom out to the yearly view it crashes again.

Anybody ideas?

Did you ever manage to solve this problem?
I'm experiencing exactly the same issues, jailbroken iPhone 4S on iOS 8.4: crashes when going to calendar year view.

Tried everything that I could think of, and I've noticed some strange things.

When I scroll down in the month view, it appears that from a certain date (in my case October 25) till March 29th, all dates are completely messed up.
It appears that this entire period is exactly the time when Daylight Saving Time is active in my time zone.

When I change the time of my phone manually to any day in this daylight saving time period, I'm able to go to the calendar year overview, but as soon as I put my time back on automatic it doesn't work again...

Very strange and very frustrating... Anyone else experiencing the same or found a solution?

I've got exactly the same problem. Tried it in Safe Mode but still calendar app crashes trying to enter year view mode. Also date entries between October and March are messed up as well.

BTW

Cydia Impactor rules ...
Afterwards there's a lot of work reinstalling most necessary tweaks since iOS 9 JB is waiting.
Tools like BackupAZ seem to create a lot of problems, so it's better to install all tweaks one by one.
