Carrier Settings Update

Did anyone else just get a carrier settings update on iPhone 5? Any idea what is fixed/updated with it?

Mine was from Sprint too. We'll have to watch the blogs to see what people say it is.

Carrier Settings are just that... proprietary to each carrier... may include default network information for the phone to access carrier services, routing, etc. When offered one, it's best to accept it.

I get that kch. I know that the update for Verizon fixed the wifi/data debacle so I was just wondering what this Sprint one was going to fix.

I don't know what happened to the carrier update. I went into settings and it isn't happening this time. Can you get it to happen mab?

Went back into settings- the update thing came up. I clicked update. As far as I can see nothing happened. Is it supposed to be that way- ie no further dialog box etc?

Got one from sprint today at 4pm when I connected my phone to iTunes. Fast simple process. I now read carrier: sprint 13.1

Sj mine is showing 13.1 now also. Was it 13 before the update? It didn't appear to do anything when I clicked update.

Yup I believe it was at 13 or 13.0. No clue what this update did.

I got that same update message. Did it and I've found that after doing it, I don't lose my LTE connection any more. Prior to the update I would occasionally drop to 3G from time to time in my house. Haven't had that problem since the update

Must be nice to have LTE in your area. I'm hoping soon. They've got it an hour north in Joplin, MO and it's coming an hour south in Fort Smith, AR, so it's just a matter of time before we get it here in Fayetteville I'm hoping.

Connect to iTunes and see if that triggers the update. Are you on on sprint ?
