HotSpot Not Working!

Hey so I have a iPhone 6s and I’m trying to use personal HotSpot with my iPad but it isn’t working since I updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 11. Anyone know why this could be?

What troubleshooting steps have you already taken? What exactly is happening?
Turning personal hotspot off and then back on has always worked for me.

So I'm going to ask the obvious question:

Does your cellular plan support the mobile hotspot feature?

Try enabling hotspot in Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot

Rob, I don’t know your location or carrier, but if your on an unlimited plan in the US, you don’t have hotspot.

If your phone is using WiFi, you don’t have hotspot.

That might explain it then. Unfortunately I am not on an unlimited plan. Although OP states that it worked fine until iOS 11. Is think if there was also a carrier/plan switch involved he/she would have said something about it. Who knows. Thanks either way!

I'm on VZW unlimited and I do have a hotspot.

I seem to recall another thread here with someone who had to have it re-enabled on their account with their carrier, OP might want to hop on chat with them and see if something is off on that end.

It could be the OP has used his allotted monthly Max

Could be. US carriers change their plans weekly. I even go online, see a plan with T-Mobile, drive across the beltway and the agents both don’t know what I’m talking about, then when they find out, half the crap carries an extra charge making it a bad deal. Meanwhile I goto the AT&T office, p & m about my bill, and they come up with an unadvertised plan that suites my needs.
