Shake to Undo with Whatsapp

Hello

I am quite a fan of the shake to undo typing options. It used to work well on Whatsapp but suddenly stopped working. Not sure if it stopped after whatsapp update. Anyone encountered this?

Whatsapp version 2.17.52
iOS version 10.3.3 (IPhone 7)

*Thought I'm the only one who picked it up. Had to test it on Messages to check if the whole action had been scrapped in the new Software. Seems its only on WhatsApp.

It's working fine with iMassage on iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.3.1.

I always use to think my neighbor was a bit touched because I would always see her shaking her iPhone. Now that I have my own iPhone I use the feature all the time! It's working fine on my phone, but I don't use Whatsapp. From the look of previous replies here I'm thinking it's a change in Whatsapp.
