iPad Tv app not working as advertised

After downloading a movie from my library, I was unable to watch it on a recent flight. The pop up said that I needed to be connected to the internet.

Creating multiple threads about the same thing will not cause a faster response from someone who may be able to assist you. Your previous thread has been removed from view. Having said that, please be patient while awaiting a reply. We are all volunteers here, and when a person who has watched a downloaded movie via the TV app is logged in to the forums, he or she will offer suggestions. Thanks.
