Voice mail stops when a phone call comes in

When I am listening to a voice mail and if a phone call or a text comes while I am listening to the voicemail, the voice mail stops playing. How do I fix this?

Phone calls have priority above all other apps and features. You simply can't fix that. I don't know about text though.
