Text Message Notifications

I recently did the ios10 update and now my text messages pop up with a name attached. Isn't there any way to just get a message alert without showing the name of the sender?

Welcome to iMore! Mine showed the name of the contact in iOS 9. How are your messages notifications set up. It may have changed with the update. Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and see. If you have banner or alert selected at the bottom, you will see the name. Also "Show on lockscreen". You should be safe with only "Badge app icon" and sounds enabled.
