My friend added me on snapchat, but I cannot send her a chat.

My friend added me on snapchat. But she does not appear under the people who have added me. Also, if I send her a chat, it says it is pending until she adds me. But I sat and watched her add me. What could be happening. Everyone else adds me without an issue.
