How do I get my ringer to work? I have set it up but when I call from another phone, no ring??

I have gone through all of the settings and adjusted volume but nothing

You don't specify what phone, but presuming you are using an iPhone, here are some other things to check.

Mute switch on the side of the device. If you see orange, flip it the other way.
Do Not Disturb feature not enabled.
Try a different ringtone.
Make sure that the device doesn't think headphones are inserted.
Make sure that a Bluetooth headset is not paired.
