I am reading a very long academic book on my iPad, making numerous notes using iBooks' Notes feature. It occurred to me that in case of an iPad failure, loss, or theft hours of note-taking work would be lost.
I sync my iPad to iTunes every morning and have numerous backups of my Mac's hard drive. Am I covered against loss of my notes in a worst-case scenario?
I must add that I run an old system for reasons I won't detail ? Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.8, iTunes 11.4 & iOS 7.1.2.
So I don't have iBooks installed on my Mac in which case I realize the notes should sync to the Mac version of iBooks.
I am just wondering if my current backup strategy has me covered. Upgrading my Mac OS is not very viable for me at this point as it would open a pandora's box of other software incompatibility issues.
